Description of work conducted at the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh Government, New Delhi
To represent the State Government at the Central Ministries and other State Governments on matters of importance as required and to represent the State government at such meetings, conferences, workshops, and seminars.
To obtain the necessary political clearance for the foreign tours, training programmes etc. of important and very important individuals of the State Government and officers of the State Administration, by following up with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
To establish contact at high levels with Central Ministries, different offices of the Government of India, Embassies of different countries in India, international organizations such as the World Bank, Chambers of Commerce and Industries such as FICCI, Assocham, CII, etc.
Counter-signing of different types of certificates (except for educational certificates) which are to be submitted in foreign countries should be first get signed at district level (Uttar Pradesh NCR – Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Hapur).
To provide different kinds of information and statistics required by the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In addition, providing different kind of information and assistance as required by members of the public, entrepreneurs, tourists etc.
Effective follow-up of important matters pending at the level of the Central Government
Making efforts for establishing Central projects in Uttar Pradesh
Providing assistance in securing financial approvals held up at the Central Government level.
To accept notices, agendas of meetings, Warrant of Appointments of important persons from different offices of the Government of India and to send them to the respective offices of the State Government
To obtain assistance from respective officers for development of tourism and tourism industry in the State and making efforts for the same at the national level
To ensure proper coordination at the India International Trade Fair and the Republic Day Parade
All works related to the establishment, budget and service related matters of the office of the Resident Commissioner
