  1. Work related to pay fixation.
  2. Issuing authority letter for salary increment, promotion, leave duration, leave encashment etc for all officers of Secretariat Services and officers of other services with effect from 1-11-1979 (except for IAS, Accounts Service, PCS etc for which authority letters are issued by the Accountant General of Uttar Pradesh).
  3. Depositing in Government Teasury of contribution received from external employment after computing leave salary contribution of pension share contribution of Secretariat Services officers appointed in external services.
  4. Maintenance of service books of all those officers except for those officers whose service records are kept in the Accountant General of Uttar Pradesh.
  5. Payment of leave encashment.
  6. Providing a verified statement about recovery of loans and deductions from officers’ pay.
  7. Maintenance of General Provident Fund account of those whose salary payment is made by IRLA Cheque Section.
  8. Payment of 99 per cent of GPF amount of retired officers.
